Marsh Fold - Bolton

Previously known as Marsh Fold Mill, the site was originally an old cotton mill which had been demolished and left undeveloped for over fifteen years. There was also evidence of old and mine workings in the area.  The land required grout stabilisation and removal of various areas of hot spot contamination prior to the installation of a gas barrier to protect against Carbon Dioxide.

The scheme comprised 35 traditionally constructed dwellings for rent in a family friendly mix of two, three and four bedroom houses together with two bungalows with specialised adaptations for wheelchair users. This design and build development transformed former wasteland and provided much needed homes for rent in the area as well as having the added benefit of strengthening community sprit.
